Michael Gentile started teaching Middle School English at Poly in 2019. He began his career as a teacher in 2011 and has been teaching middle school students since 2012. Michael graduated from the University of Kentucky (Go Cats!) with a degree in English and completed his master’s in English education at Teachers College, Columbia University. He decided to become a teacher because he wanted to pass on his love of reading and writing to others and inspire his students to tell their own stories. When he has free time, he enjoys spending time with his family as they eat their way through all of the amazing restaurants New York City has to offer.
